Make New Sale - Selecting items

In this article, we will discuss adding items to the cart after successfully searching and finding the item you are looking to add to the cart.

When you are making a sale through Full Sale or In Stock, you will add items to your shopping cart through the group page. Here, you can see details about the group, the items in the group, customize the items selected, and more.

 

 

In the top left of the page, you will see some basic information about the item - the Manufacturer and the Group Description. To the right of that, you will see the group image if there is one available.

 

If this is an automatically maintained manufacturer (such as Ashley), the group image will be automatically populated if it is provided by the vendor. If the vendor isn't providing an image, or it is a manually maintained manufacturer you have not uploaded an image for, there will be a "No Image Available" message. Underneath that,  you have a table of all the items in the group. Each column is explained below. 

Below is a brief description of each column: 

 

  • Item #: This is the item number of the item in the row. If you click on the hyperlinked number, you will open up the Item Details page for the item, which will show you the dimensions, weight, and inventory count of the item. 
  • Description: The item description. This is controlled in the Add/Edit Groups page. 
  • Available #: This is an optional column that will appear if you are using In Stock. This shows you how many items are available in your system.  
  • Qty: This is the quantity of that particular item that you are adding to the Shopping Cart. 
  • Finish: If you want to select a finish for the product, you can do so here. To control Finishes for a manufacturer, see our article on How to Add Fabrics and Finishes
  • Finish Price: This is an automatically calculated price based on the information set for the Finish in Add/Edit Finishes.
  • Fabric: If you want to select a fabric for the product, you can do so here. To control Fabrics for a manufacturer, see our article on How to Add Fabrics and Finishes
  • Fabric Price: This is an automatically calculated price based on the information set for the Fabric in Add/Edit Fabrics.
  • Additional Details: This is a space for writing internal notes for your team about the product (for example, if the customer wants a particular item off the showroom floor). The customer does not see these notes. 
  • Price/Item: This is the price of the item based on the set cost in the system plus any additional fabric or finish charges. The price is controlled by the Add/Edit Group page and any other price settings added in Part IV of the System Settings - Page 1. If the system settings allow, you can also adjust the price directly from this page. 
  • Submit: This adds all the items you selected to the Shopping Cart.
  • Reset: This wipes out all the configurations you have made to the items you are selecting and sets all quantities back to zero. 
  • Back: This takes you back to the search results page you came from. 
  • Back to Category List: This takes you back to the Full Catalog or In Stock search options page that you originally chose. 
  • View Shopping Cart: This allows you to go straight to your shopping cart to see all the items that you have added to your shopping cart already.
