In this article we will discuss the options and settings on the System Settings - Page 2
To access the System Settings Page 2 you will need to navigate to Main Menu > Getting Started > System Settings > Page 2.
The page will look like the one below, and we'll go through it section by section.
In Point of Sale:
This section controls several options that are available when getting ready to make a sale.
- Turn off button to remove item from shopping cart: When making a sale, all items are added to a "Shopping Cart" before checking out. If you like, you can make it impossible for a salesperson to remove these items from the shopping cart during that process.
- Turn off Paid In Full Option: If you have this option on, when making a sale you can click a box that will automatically calculate the full payment necessary and fill it out on the receipt. This will speed up the checkout process for your staff, but could also cause them to charge a customer more than what the customer wants.
- Turn off Save As Quote Option: When making a sale, at the point of checkout you can click "Save as Quote", which will save the sale as a quote instead of creating a sale. The quote will have a print out for the customer to review what they were interested in, but will not charge the customer or reserve the items.
- Allow user to adjust price when making a sale of a predetermined set: If you are using a set or kit to add items to the shopping cart, the prices will be fixed by default. You can use this setting to make them editable.
During Checkout:
Here you can activate different options to show on the Customer Information page during checkout. Each option is explained below.
- Show advertising question: This is a question asking where the customer heard about your store to track what advertising may be working for clients.
- Show reference information: This allows you to fill out who referred a client to your store. Some stores want to run kickbacks or deals to customers who refer others.
- Ask what the customer plans to buy in the future: If you want to gather information about what customers may be interested in the future, you can activate this field to take notes for future reference.
Select the fields required while checking a customer out
In some situations, you may want to have certain fields mandatory to fill out to check out a customer through In Stock or Full Catalog sales. Here, you can add a checkmark to any fields you want to require.
Fine Print:
Here you can write the fine print for your Receipts, Delivery Memos, and Bills.
Remember, EZ Process Pro cannot advise on legally binding contracts. Please consult the appropriate expert for your country, state/province, county, and business type for any assistance in writing legal text.
Internal Message Board
Inside EZ Process Pro is an internal messaging system employees can use to communicate with each other. You can set these messages to automatically appear on the welcome page for employees to click on and read.
Letters From System:
Salespeople can print out letters for customers, including reminders about payment, Thank You letters, and letters informing clients that an item is back-ordered. If you would like to use windowed envelopes, you can set the addresses to print where they will be visible.
Quick Cash Register:
Quick Cash Register sales are for items that are in inventory that won't be needing a Delivery, such as small items like sheets or pillows. If you would like to record a customer's information in that process, you can turn it on here.
Use Custom Cost Code:
If you would like to create custom cost codes, you can enable this setting. When you do so, the Customize option will become available, allowing you to map numbers to letters to make it harder for unauthorized personnel to read the cost of an item. For example, $12345678.90 could become $ZCDEFGHI.JA under the cost code.
Keep track of Aisles, Rows, and Bins using a barcode
Here you can add how many aisles, rows, and bins you have in your warehouse. This will allow the exact location of an item to be programmed into the barcode you print out for them.
