      How to Disable Saved Passwords in Chrome

      When using EZ Process Pro we suggest that you do not save your password in Google Chrome and in this article, we will show you how to disable that feature

      EZ Process Pro recommends that passwords and usernames should not be stored in Google Chrome or on your device. Each user should have a unique login with permissions tailored to their specific role within the store.

      Saving passwords on your device poses a security risk, as anyone with access to the device could potentially log in as another user, leading to unauthorized changes and compromising the security of your system.

      For privacy reasons, we recommend not signing into Google Chrome when sharing devices. Logging into Chrome will sync your data across all devices, potentially exposing private information to others who access the device.

      If you are logged into Chrome, please sign out and follow the instructions below to remove any saved passwords. If you don't sign out before following these steps, you may accidentally delete passwords you wish to keep.

      To disable the feature in Chrome please see the steps below: 

      1. Open Google Chrome
      2. In the top right-hand corner click on the three grey dots
      3. A window will open as seen in the above image.
      4. Select Passwords and Autofill as seen in the screenshot below. Then select Google Password Manager.
      5. This will take you to the screen below where you will need to select Settings on the left side of the screen.

      6. At the top of the screen, we suggest that you disable the three options 
        1. Offer to save passwords and passkeys
        2. Sign in automatically
        3. Use and save passwords and passkeys from your Google account
      7. Once these are disabled then Google will no longer ask you to or save your passwords going forward. 

       

      If you have passwords that have been saved in Chrome and need to delete them please follow the steps 1 through 5 listed above. 

      Once you are on the Passwords and Autofill - Settings page. Select Delete Data next to the option Delete all Google Password Manager Data 

      This will bring you to a confirmation screen where you will need to select confirm that you wish to delete the passwords by clicking Delete
