      First Time Setup: How to connect the Link 2500 to WiFi

      Here are the steps you need to follow during first-time setup to connect your Link 2500 terminal to WiFi:

       

      Connect the device to power:

      1. Lift the flap on the side of the Link 2500 covering the charging port.

      2. Plug the USB-C cable into the charging port.

      3. Slide the U.S. plug adapter into the power supply.

      4. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the power supply.

      5. Plug the power supply into a power outlet.

        1. The Link 2500 will automatically turn on when connected to the power.

        2. Wait 1-2 minutes until the reader displays the triPOS logo.

        3. You can also hold the green button to power on the device if it is not connected to a power cable.

       

      Connect the device to WiFi:

      1. Press 0-0-0-1 on the keypad to ender the ADMIN MENU
        1. Select option 2: "WIFI Parameters".
        2. If WiFi is not enabled select "Enable".
      2. Select "Scan Networks"
        1. Select your access point's SSID from the provided list.
      3. Enter your network's WiFi password and then press the green Enter key.
      4. Restart your Link 2500 by pressing the yellow button and then # key at the same time.
      5. After restarting your Link 2500 you will see the Activation Code needed to activate the terminal. Provide that activation code to the support representative who is helping you with the activation process.
